i've seen equiptment for loading shot and was wondering if it is the same for reloading slugs. planning on getting the dominion arms grizzly and already have reloading stuff for centre fire. can i use the same press? or is it a whole new setup? thanks in advance

You can use a single stage shotshell reloader like a Mec 600 jr., some operations may be done by hand. Actually you could load them all by hand with some very simple hand tools and a roll crimper attachment for a drill or drill press.
 
I use the MEC 600 jr for loading cast Lyman slugs; the only difference is that instead of dropping a shot charge, you slide the slug into the wad before crimping the shell.
 
You could probably use a Lee Loader (a set of cheap hand tools) to make good slug loads. You would need to buy a bag of plastic wads. You could mold your own slugs or buy them at a gun show. Lyman makes a mold that throws a slug skinny enough to fit inside a plastic wad.

You would also need a box of shotgun primers, a can of shotgun powder (Unique, Blue dot, red dot or herco are good slug powders).

I am guessing you could be making slugs for under $100 in equipment and supplies.
