Was wondering what's available in the way of a real small 9mm. (yes I have 12-6)...

I used to have an FEG in 9x18 Mak.. was wondeirng if a PP / PPK style pistol like this exists in 9x19?

Regards,

Star BM

Not a PP/PPK style, but the Star Model BM is in 9mm [9x19m] with a barrel only a tad longer than the Mak...

The MAK and PP/PPK are a blowback design.

9mm is too powerful for a blowback, you would need to have an extremely heavy spring or a massive bolt like in a Sten, which is also blowback. So 9mm pistols tend to be a little bit bigger than a MAK or PP because of some type of retarding action instead of just a spring.

Smallest 9mm's that are available in Canada is probably a Glock 26, (about 80 in Canada as prohibs), S&W 3913 Ladysmith, or a P7, and probably a few others.

+1 for the Star BM, it isn't a lightweight but also isn't much bigger than a Walther PP. Another candidate might be the Kahr K9 Series as they are compact but they will shoot all day with full sized 9s. Regards, Richard:D

My custom Kahr E9 ( same size as a K9):
