hey guys, looking to learn the ropes in the fall and figure id start out with squirrel, rabbit, and coyotes, and grouse Where abouts in the surrounding ottawa area can i hunt? and what are the common techniques employed to hunt these animals? Thanks!

Ricky, there is lots of public land within an hours drive of Ottawa. The city of Ottawa is huge & lots of the city are "no discharge" areas. Checkout this link for maps that show the no discharge areas. http://www.ottawa.ca/en/licence_permit/bylaw/a_z/firearms/index.html Also be extra vigilant when shooting in public area's as there will be the possibility of other people using the same areas for non-hunting purposes. If you have a vehicle, the Larose forest is also a good place to start.
