Small game hunting near Sault saint Marie ON

Hello looking for advice for grouse and rabbit hunting willing to drive a hour or more to wherever just dont have much experience hunting and any advice is appropriated. As would like to give it a try and progress into other types of hunting thanks

Hey man.. I also live in the sault and try to get out once a week but just had a baby boy this past winter so I might not get out as much this year but would be willing to have you tag along with me and share some spots with you.. if you want to go out and try it on your own pick up the northeastern ontario backroads mapbook to show you where all the crown land is in the area.. I usually frequent Whitman dam road and ranger lake road .. there are tons of trails and roads off each of those main roads where I have taken lots of game.. shoot me a pm with your cell number and I can text you

I know this is a way old thread, like, last year, but I too am in the Soo and interested in small game hunting companions. I usually get out during the week due to my shiftwork. I've been out a bunch and done alright for birds, hoping to bag a rabbit before it gets (more?) inhospitable.

Let me know if either of you are interested.
