I don't see anything in the hunting regs (ON) reguarging using crossbow to hunt any small game. I understand you can use it for turkey, is this only in the fall or both seasons? Also, can I shoot coyote with it?

Yup shoot away..... gotta be good to get a coyote with a xbow...

and both seasons for turkey

I almost got a coyote last year while deer hunting, but he caught my scent at about 50 yards and was gone

I wouldnt hesitate to shoot other small game either, bunnies, grouse, etc
small game heads grouped reasonably well with my xcal, i always have one in the quiver

I hope its legal. As soon as rifle season is done I'm gonna use mine for grouse while deer hunting. Unless of course I get a deer during rifle season.

I asked the a C.O. this a few years back, they said "giver hell". you can use a bow, long, compound or x for pretty much anything that doesn't have a specific criteria for what you "have" to use, for example the turkey regs are very strict, yes they include bow though in that case. I've got my recurve set up for anything, small game, birds (including geese), deer and turkey, even fish.

cool thanks for the info guys! I wasn't too sure as there are no specifications in the book. I like the fact I can hunt turkey both seasons, someone told me it was only during the fall b/c of the new forest growth in spring.

.I know there are small game heads and what not. I haven't hunted grouse, and never really tried, but I know they taste good! I'm fairly new to bow hunting (this is only my 2nd year)

Lots of options for small game heads, one of the best I have found is just using my standard field point with Zwicky grapplers, they just slide over the shaft and help prevent arrow loss and pass throughs.
I use them behind my broadheads for turkey too, the weight is so minimal the effects on POI are not worth considering.
Here are some, including the Zwicky.

Thanks right on! I have all this kind of stuff before, I was reading about Zwickys last night, as well as other small game heads, and I'm going to pick a variety up.
