okay guys the plan is to find a 1911 in 9mm. il shorten the trigger and get thin grips.

Some of the STI guns, like the Trojan, come with slim grips. Otherwise you can buy the low profile bushings and stocks yourself. Freedom Ventures is a source for that, plus the short triggers

I'm late to the party, but the BHP is a good one. Just not the cupboard door grips that the standard comes with.
