I'm looking to buy a compact, fixed power optic for an M14.
I'd prefer something in the 3x to 4x range as I plan on using it to take deer no further than 100 yards. I couldn't find much checking site sponsors aside from the vortex strike fire and sparc. I know the sparc is a good product but I dont know how well either will hold up to the .308 recoil. (this will mostly be a hunting gun- it wont see 500 rounds a year) Also, they only have screw in X2 magnifiers. It should be enough but I don't know much about how well they work.
Like I said before, I'd be more comfortable with a 3 or 4 power. I only have around $250 to spend as well.
If anyone has any advice or brands/ models that I can look up it'd be a great help.
