Is there any reason one should avoid small primed .45ACP brass? I mean, aside from getting them mixed in with the regular stuff.... is there any disadvantage to the small primer in this cartridge?

Thanks

No disadvantage. No performance changes. In fact, some guys use the same load regardless of large or small primers.

As noted, don't get them mixed. There was a recent story on here about a guy getting primer detonation by trying to cram a large primer into a small primer hole.

They don't work. They are terrible brass. Only get 2 loads before they blow up you gun. Ship them right over to me for proper disposal. I'll take real good care of them for you ;)

They make the best once fired free range brass you'll find. Check the EE out from time to time you will find a great deal on them. I picked up a thousand once fired for $15 a few years ago.
