Getting a Para ord 16-40 and will be using 180gr lead and 200gr plated.

I was told by a big IPSC shooter that Winchester rifle primer are good to go..

Now which powder? Was using Universal Clays in a CZ75b but I was hitting all over the target...

Rifle primers were used ( perhaps still are ) by many IPSC shooters for .38 super loads. They had to because the pressures were up near rifle pressures.

So I see no reason that they would not be good for a .40. As long as you get consistent ignition then not a problem. I assume that you are looking at some hot loads.

Well finally, I went to Dante, yesterday they told me on the phone they only had Federal primers, Now they had CCI for 25$/K for 5K.

I also bought 1lbs of blue Dot, 1 lbs of Power Pistol at the recommandation of one of the guy there. I got 1/2 lbs of Titegroup that I bought yesterday and 1/2lbs of Universal left from previous reloading.

Working up a load will be a pain, OAL, Weight, Powder, etc..
