I'm looking for a Canadian source for a small torque driver that can take the usual metric/imperial hex and screwdriver heads. Something useful in the low 20-60 in-lbs range for actions and scopes (and bicycle parts while I'm at it...)

Nothing at Canadian Tire looked suitable and the local automotive places only had large tools, usually with a much higher range of torques.

Thanks!

Awesome, thanks for the the names, everyone. Now that you mention it, I did see that one at Lordco. $140-ish, I think. It didn't appear to be anything special. Made in China, etc. Probably fine though.

Canucklehead, if you can remember where you got that Utica, let me know. That unit does look a hundred times "nicer" but prices are usually much more than $125...

I was just thinking about one of these myself. Found a few, but am unsure of the quality from an internet picture...

Price is right, which kinda scares me a little when it comes to precision tools.

I was at pricess auto in Regina SK on Thursday night. I saw some 5 to 200 inch pound rated tourque wrenches there, 1/4" drive, for under $20 ( there was a bunch there, over 25 or 30 in stock). I dont don't know about quality or durability, I generally find that you get what u pay for. I have a ft-lb torque wrench that goes down to 1.5 lbs or 18 in-lbs...... its a very easy conversion just divide (or mutiply) by 12. they do the trick very nicely. The only time I had a problem with it was the ONE time I had to torque something to 12 in-lbs, it very rare though, usually the lowest i see is 40 in-lbs.

Good luck hope this helps
