SMG Guns FG42

Hey all,

New to the forum, and pretty new to shooting, so, I apologize if this is a dumb or obvious question.

SMG guns seems to be a tiny firearms manufacturer in the US making replica firearms for civilian use. I've been drooling over their .308 FG42 replica for ages now, but, I have no idea if it's even possible to import something from such a small manufacturer up here. Has anyone looked in to one of these? Granted, importing aside, I'm still not sure it's feasible to even get one. The waiting list seems to be immense, and their production is slow, and their website is pretty much impossible to navigate.

They've been contacted before in regards to this. I believe they don't want to file the paperwork or pay the hefty fees to get an export license from the State Department. So, a no go at this point. But yes, many of us have been drooling over the SMG FG-42 for some time as well.

I'm pretty sure you can get one imported through IRunGuns but I don't know if an FRT exists yet

No they aren't. They manufacture real firearms.
