Hi all,

A few months ago, I bought a 1911 E series ( the basic stainless model) and I like it a lot. I feel the gun is solid, well made and reasonably accurate. As it is my first 1911, I have no other to compare it and I was wondering if other people have experience with the E series and what their appreciation is.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts

I lusted after these for a couple years before finding one. I love mine. I have the railed version. The only thing I changed was adding an ed brown beveled mag well. The white circles around the tritium inserts seem to have faded over time. But that's easily fixed.

I only had a norinco 1911 before so I dont have a ton of 1911 experience. But it is miles ahead in every way.

I am not an expert of any 1911 but my E-series has been running flawless and shoot very accurate. It digests any ammo I feed without hiccup.
It is a very well made 1911 with a reasonable price.

Those are fine specimens Lycan. Is one more accurate than the other or do they shoot pretty much the same?

Honestly, I am nowhere close to tell any differences between them in terms of accuracy. They both out shoot me as most of my firearms. Both of them can print very tight group out to 25m if the shooters do his part.

Thanks for your answers guys.
Nice guns Lycan. Your version of E-series is one I had never seen.

Any more E-series owners here?

Those are pretty! Congrats!

I love the fish scale slide serrations on the Smith E series, but if memory serves these have external extractors which is a bit of a turn off for me...not that there's anything wrong with them, I just don't like the looks of an extractor showing on the RS. Personal preference only.
