Wanting to hear some feedback on the Smith and Wesson 22a. Looking for a nice little plinking gun and I see the prices are good on a new one. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Wold love to hear from anyone that has a 22A. I hear they need the recoil blocks replaced regularly

There was one at DVC locally that was used for quite a while in the rental fleet and saw more ammo through it per week than any normal person can shoot through a gun in a year. It held up well and other than cleaning I don't know of anything done to it to keep it running. I was a regular shooting member and part time RO with them during that time.
As for accuracy it may not qualify as a target gun but it produced neat tidy groups for me when I shot it. As inexpensive .22 pistols go you could do a lot worse.
