Hello,

First off, I wanted to thank everyone for helping me out with my Model 27-2 and 29-2 questions a while back. I just finished my range safety at Burlington R&R Club and can't wait to give them a try.

Secondly, I just purchased these two revolvers and was wondering what value they had in Canada?

1. Ruger Super Black Hawk 44 Magnum Serial # 81 67###
2. Smith and Wesson 125th Anniversary 25-3 Serial # 29xx

The Ruger looks well taken care of.
The Smith and Wesson comes in its original cardboard shipping box with all the packing, blue box, wood case, key, medallion and book in blue velvet. The previous owner said it sat in a safe since 1977! Everything, to me, at least, looks beautiful.

I've looked on line and found some examples in the States, but not very much up here?

Thank you for your time!

Pete

Hi
I have no idea on the Ruger but I see the S&W kits quite a bit. They seem to sell on the low side for $700.00 and on up to $900.00 I have saw people asking really big dollars for them but they never seem to sell. There are just to many of them for sale to fetch really high dollars.

They are not really know to be great shooters. From what I can find out is that the cylinders are to tight on them and when fired they distorted the bullets causing poor accuracy. You are supposed to be able to have a good gun smith open up the throat on the cylinders and when this is done they will work ok. Just what I have read.

Thank you Graydog!

I really appreciate your time. I didn't know that about the S&W. I figured that I wasn't going to shoot it, but rather pass it on to someone who would rather store it in their safe and enjoy it for what it is. It is is nice to look at though!

They are a nice looking set aren't they. I do not shoot mine much as it not nearly as accurate as my other model 25's.

What are they worth?

Well, they gotta be worth at least as much as you were willing to pay for them, eh?
