I purchased a S&W 460 a while ago, I have shot it quite a few times, got into loading Hornady 200 grain and 300 grain grounds as well as Campro 250 grain rounds
I load all my rounds below the max load,
I have found lately that after about 5 rounds, ( it’s only a 5 shot gun)
The cylinder won’t open, I have to hold the button on the side and tap the cylinder against some wood for it to open,
I find it more often with the 300 Grain rounds, but happens with them all
I have not had with problem with reloaded 454 or 45 colt rounds,
But I do shoot more 460 rounds out of her. Cause why not
Just looking for what would cause the cylinder from doing that
The gun is cleaned after every range trip

Is the extractor rod coming loose? This will make the cylinder difficult/impossible to open. I've had it happen to a couple of my S&W revolvers.

Based on my 629, check the ejector rod like Auggie Doggie said and every single screw but especially for unburned powder grains under the extractor star. It does not take many of them to jam the cylinder so hard that the timing goes out.
