Hi,

I was having light strikes so I checked the strain screw and it was fine so the gun was sent to wolverine supplies for a warranty check, they said it was the Hammer stud broken from the frame and it needed to be replaced by Smith & Wesson by brazing the part and re-bluing the frame.

Now they sent the gun back saying that right now they can't export the gun to them (handgun freeze? Did not get confirmation from them) so apparently they can't help me with this.

They mentioned the following parts (I also have a stripped grip screw to fix) :

228510000 / HAMMER STUD
297380000 / GRIP N-TAR. SQ/SQ,HON./ROSE,CK

Is there someone inside this country that can do this kind of job and if so please let me know.

Do we expect to be able to export some time soon?

Thanks

At least on the older S&W’s, the studs were a press fit. The “Anvil” YouTube creator has a great video on replacing one on a model 29. This is a great YouTuber for people interested in gunsmithing.
