I'm guessing that this thread is better then the pistol thread for my question since it has to do with parts and gunsmith types are more likely to know where to find what I'm looking for.
I have an N-Frame Smith with an 8-3/8" barrel that still shoots high despite having adjusted the rear sight to the lowest position. The adjustment screw felt pretty stiff and despite using a screwdriver with a good fit, I managed to slip and burr the head a bit in the dark range stall. Since this is a sort-of pretty gun and is in excellent shape, I'd like to replace that burred adjustment screw.
Does anyone know a good place to find this rear sight adjustment screw in Canada and are there also rear blades available? I'd like to buy a rear blade and trim it down since I can't adjust the sight lower.
BTW, I was shooting off a rest and I don't think the muzzle flip was unusual. The groups looked okay at 15 yards but are about 2 to 2.5" higher then where I want them to be. Loads are light target loads - not magnums.
