Does anyone know if it is possible to repair or refinish the high gloss anodized paint (?) finishing that Smith and Wesson used on their aluminium framed semi-automatic pistols (Models, 39, 59, 459 etc.)? I’m not even really sure if it is anodized paint or something else; I have several pistols that could use a touch up here and there so it would be nice if that were possible but I suppose it may also have to be a full strip and refinish. Anyone tried this? Any advice?
