Smith model 29 & Smith model 17 Values

Don't know if this helps, but right or wrong, I paid $600 for my 29 which is not in the best of shape (was someones wilderness carry gun, hence lots of holster wear) and I paid $550 for my 17 which is near mint except for one small smudge on the bbl.

I have a Model 17. I think I gave $500 for it. It is in good to very good condition and I feel I got good value for my money. I think if you find one for $400 you are either very lucky or the condition is not good and you should wait for a better one. I think if you give more than $600 for one it should be in showroom new condition or you must be in a great hurry and the seller is lucky to find you.
 
Hi Model 17-5 for very good to excellent $475 to $550 with box,tools & manual add extra $50.

For the 29-3 for very good to excellent $600 to $700 with box,tools & manual add an extra $50.

For a 29-2 add $100 to $150 more!..
