I'm waiting for my RPAL. RCMP is calling my contacts but they are on hollyday. My friends got their RPAL last week and are buying those S&W AR-15... And I'm here... biting my hands!

Give them the cash and have them buy an extra and hold onto it for you. Then once you get your rpal, they can transfer it to you and you can take it home.

According to Cabelas you can wait forever for this rifle. They do not know when exactly the shipment will arrive (according to customer support). Hopefully soon, since a lot of people are waiting in line to put their hands on one of these rifles...

According to Cabelas web page "Federal Regulations" require the firearm to be shipped in a locked hard case:rolleyes:.
And that they will charge you for the case and lock and add it to your invoice.

Thanks for the info and my apologies to GUB. That's a good way for cabelas to boost sales of cases and locks I guess. Every restricted rifle I've ever bought from a retailer came in a cardboard box, some had a zip tie on the trigger, some didn't, none had conventional trigger locks.
