Smith & Wesson 41

I have a Redfield scope mount for a Smith and Wesson Model 41.
It is the one that replaces the right grip on the pistol.
Can you use the original grip screws? Or should you replace thm with some that are a bit longer?
Is a little bit of the non permanent Blue Loc-Tite a good idea?
