This full size is very attractive. It is model no. SW1911TA E-Series™ with an Accessory Rail. Any CDN dealers out there stocking this one in satin? I'd like two please. One for a friend!

Check out the North Sylva forum, they are the major distributor in Canada, and there is a thread about the E series there.

I would add that IS THE HIGHEST VALUE 1911 on the North American market right this very second!

I think the SIG series of 1911 's are also one of the best value buys in the current 1911 market.... hundreds of dollars cheaper then similar kimbers and they come with frontstrap checkering where as very few of the kimbers do.

Already compared the TacOps. This one is a better value. The fact is, the competition in the 1911 world is closing in on companies like Les Baer and Wilson and Nighthawk. All three have another thing coming with pistols like this one. The times are a changin'! Watch all the prices fall through 2012. Laugh2

Go's to show you how much attention i spend on S&W pistols.
Still think it's a cool idea.
Any opinions on how well these extractors work?

From the research I've done, looks like they perfected the external extractors on their 1911's. I think the first 1911's with external extractors came out in 2002. Works great but some people still prefer the internal extractor.
