Hi
I see the threads about Colt snakes, and they are nice don't get me wrong. Lets see and hear about your S&W model 27's and 627's. These were S&W's answer to Colts Pythons. Here are a few of mine.

The top gun is a 6 inch barrel model made in 1960
The middle gun is also a 6 inch barrel made in 1981
The bottom gun is a 8 3/8 inch barrel made in 1980

Next up are my 627's

The top gun is a almost new PC 8 shot 5 inch barrel model
The bottom gun is the first year of the 627 (1989) they were 5 1/2 inch barrels with an unfluted 6 shot cylinder

Lets see yours

Actually, the gun that eventually came to be known as the Model 27 is the ORIGINAL 357 Magnum. It was Colt that was playing catch up.
