Smiths Falls Fish and Game Club - no new members?

I'm not entirely sure which forum this post best fits into, but I thought it would be better here then bogging down general.

Smith falls fish and game club are no longer accepting new members. Is there a current member who knows why this decision was made or possibly if it will be reversed in the next few months. Their website offers a brief explanation but I thought an actual member would know more.

Hi there,
We have doubled our membership in the last 2 years and were getting 5-10 new memberships every month.
With this in mind and the fact that most volunteers are the older retired members, we were being overwhelmed by the demand required of the new shooters.

The Board put a moratorium in place and established a committee to study range usage, membership patterns and to make recommendations on what exactly should a membership entail.
This committee is to report no later than January at which time the moratorium will be reviewed.

Essentially it boils down to work load. We are a volunteer run range that has the same
10-20 people do all the work so the other 300+ can enjoy the facilities.
These 10-20 are almost all over 65.
