SMLE Windage Adjustment pre-'15

I've got a pre 1915 windage adjustable rear sight on my SMLE ('45 Isaphore). It's in good working order, but I've not managed to work out what the graduation is.

What does one click left or right equal? I'm just guessing which isn't much good in competition.

You're going about this all wrong! Just wet your index finger, hold it up in the air, and wait for a breeze, nature and your shooting skills will do the rest, or just shoot on days with no wind.....

I very vaguely remember something like one complete turn = 1 MOA but I really am not sure. I'll try to look it up in one of my booklets, I think it's in there that I saw something about this...

they are 1 minute, and the divisions are six minutes. The wheel goes the opposite of what most of us think is the conventional way, i.e. left is clockwise.

Right, so I should expect about an inch of adjustment per click at 100yds.
