Smokey Lake??

I heard a rumour that a decently sized rifle range is going to be built, at or near to, Smokey Lake Alberta.
Any truth to this rumour, and does anyone know timelines for 'open for business?'

The little I heard from an unnamed source whom is a member of the APRA:
A long established gun club just outside Edmonton, was approached with the right amount of cash for a real estate sale from the city or land developers. This bought out club, supposedly has plans for a purchasing land and constructing, a brand new rifle range in the Smokey Lake area.

I cannot personally find out anything about this, or if one, or both of the land deals fell through.

i dont think there is a 1/4 of land in that whole county that would be flat enough for a range with out lots of cat work

A total of two hours by road trip from Edmonton.

Not bad in my opinion.........
