Smoky the bear won a trip to Santorini!

Well, not exactly true but sort of...

My father just picked up his bear rug from the taxidermist. The wait was long; over 13 months, but the job is superb!

The old man is already making plans to visit Greece for his annual wild boar hunt (ahhhh retirement...) and wants to take the rug to display at his summer home.

Has anyone else exported a trophy mount to a European country? Would you know what documentation is required to fill out? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

There is a full description on pg 75 of the regs, but basically he needs two export permits. The first is a provincial export permit, free for residents of Ontario, $35 for non-residents. The second is a CITES export permit, also free. He also needs to check the Greek regulations with regards to importing it.
