I've heard of people doing it, but how is it done? Which parts should you apply toothpaste to, and how? I have a new Norinco 870 and I've heard of some success with that model.
I don't know who would be dumber. The one who told that story,or the one who actually put toothpaste in the action of a gun.
I think someone has been pulling your leg.
I just clean up my new guns, lube as per manual and then go out and shoot a couple of hundred cheapo shells. They smooth out quickly.
He also repaired alot of guns that people used valve grinding compound on because they don't make an ultra fine compound. Its better to take a little at a time than take too much and have to put it back.
