Happened to see that my LGS got the new Campro 123gr 0.311 bullets in stock. Snagged some, but haven't reloaded anything for them yet. I plan on using them for 303 British, 7.62x39, and 7.62x54R, since the indoor range I shoot at does not allow bullets that stick to a magnet to be shot.

I emailed Campro asking what is the maximum velocity of these plated bullets (I seem to recall Berry's 0.311 plated bullets have a maximum velocity of 2400 ft/s or so) and if they had any load data for them. No reply yet.

Anyone else reload for these yet? Accurate? Easy to use?

You may get a generic response saying some arbitrary number. In my experience the limit has much more to do with pressure than it does velocity.

Unless my old-timers has set in I recall Campro's have thicker plating than Berry's? I suspect they will take more than 2400 but see what Campro says.

Campro replied. 2500 ft/s and they also sent me a PDF of load data for 7.62x39.
"This bullet was developed for 7.62 X 39 and do not exceed 2500 fps."

So, to the reloading manual for 303 british loads with 123gr for velocities less than 2500 ft/s. Looks like Lyman has a bunch of 125gr bullets with velocities of 2300-2400 ft/s so I'm good!

Are they plated or jacketed? The Berry's accuracy is atrocious at 100yards but decent at 50. If these are jacketed they might be closer to surplus accuracy.

I'll have to watch out for these. I'm now out of the CamPro 180gr (?) 311 sized projectiles they discontinued. Maybe these can be an inexpensive substitute

With the price of large rifle primers it’s not really cost effective to load plinking 7.62x39
I would never recommend anyone doing this, but when I load pistol powder in my rifle cartridges (Unique, RedDot, Trailboss) I use large pistol magnum primers.

YMMV
