snail mail and ammo

I am sure its been asked before but can you mail ammo? Used to but am sure the rules have changed. DHL is an arm and a leg whats the economical way of doing it? Cheers

Canada Post does not accept dangerous goods.

I use Fedex, Purolator and DHL for DG at my work. Mind you I don't deal with ammo.

Don't bother with UPS.

I had ammo shipped to me by can post. from a dealer in quebec. It is not dangerous goods, the dealer marked it "Consumer Commodity".

If you recieved ammo by Canada Post is may have left by Purolator and because you were in a remote area it was delivered by CP. What waybill did it have?

SIR sent me ammo on the bus when I lived in Thompson MB. That was a couple of years ago though...
