My Snake Charmer II currrently being used as my 'house' gun. Fires all 2 3/4 and 3" loads. 18" Cyl. bore, single shot. The slugs it's loaded with are pretty potent little suckers: Federal Power Shok, 1/4 oz HP slug at 1775 fps,
762 lb/ft at the muzzle.
Holds 4 extra 3" shells in the butt.

Works well on rabbits and the like. Haven't had any luck hitting grouse with it..

Anybody else using .410? Don't seem to be too popular these days...

MT, I admire that .410 handgun. Shooting clays with a gun like that could be challenging! Is it an El Faisan? Was it converted or purchased that way? I once saw a cased pair of "dueling pistols" in .410, and have lusted after them ever since.

Dave, the Snake Charmer patent is the property of the grand old French firm of Verney - Carron. It is not designed to take .45 Colt, or any other handgun round. They also make a 28 gauge version with a full length stock which would make hitting the grouse a little easier.

Sweet Handcannon Mozambique!

Shooting anything on the move is pretty difficult with the short stock and barrel of the snake charmer. I've seen the long barrelled ones in 28 guage and 410, they look pretty manouevrable.

But I always take mine camping and hiking. Came in handy this September long weekend during a bear encounter in Pinawa while out hiking...
