I have been searching the threads and the sellers on here and do not find much for sale....most 12 gauge snap caps are sold out

Where do you buy them....and is there good deals somewhere online?

Thanks

The red metal A-ZOOM ones get chewed up pretty fast, the shavings end up inside the action, chamber, ect.
WSS also carry lightweight black plastic ones, but they are not intended for cycling but instead for dry firing...and so the gun can be stored with the hammer dropped.

I wanted realistic ones that mimicked the feel and weight of real live shells. Mainly to practice quick and tactical style reloads.

I found these at the last gun show I was at. They're from the 80's with light use and weren't cheap, but when I see' em, I'll buy em.

I just cut down a couple of shell casings, pop out the primer and screw a nylon bolt from the inside through the primer hole and cut off the excess. If you're feeling inventive, you can fill the rest of the casing too. Work like a charm. total cost, maybe a dollar a pair

I tried making my own, but couldn't get the hull cut even enough for my standards. I was then going to add weight with nuts/bolts then fill with silicone. But then the authentic crimped and folded in hull wouldn't be there either which i also wanted for realistic feel when doing reload drills.

You can find them cheaper at local Le Baron store. I got mine for $8.99 with a pair of metal aluminum casings. Avoid plastic stuff, they break easily.

I made my own with some cheap silicone and 7 roofing nails inside the hull and its pretty much the same weight.
I used 2 part epoxy for the last 1/2 inch or so to give the end of the shell a harder surface than silicone.
Easy Peasy and cheap .
