Hi everyone

I recently came into this snider 577 MK III j.kerr London armoury.

Rifle is in excellent condition with a tight action and crisp clean rifling. stock has no cracks or major damage. No real rust or pitting. Comes with all the reloading stuff and some loaded ammo. Also 25 rounds of loaded ready to go ammo

I am wondering what rough value to assign to it. Any thoughts are appreciated

$1350

Beautiful Snider
I don't know much about these things but I've been drooling over them for a few years. If I was at a gun show and someone had this with all the reloading gear like this one for this price, I'd buy it for sure. I'd probably ask the owner a million questions too before walking away so I knew what I was getting into

my valuation wasn't taking into account the extras, i was so focused on that little beaut

They are alot of fun, I've got a beat up 2 band but would love a quality example one day

In that condition around $1200 depending on the bore maybe slightly more. The dies look to be like the ones I picked up being 7/8 thread and problematic unless their newer ch4d dies. With the extras maybe $1400 range if the dies aren’t duds.

As a focussed Snider collector, I'd look at ranges of price vs. my motivation to buy. At $1,000 it would be a no-brainer. At $1,350 I'd still consider it. At $2,000 I would have zero interest. Commercial Sniders (in standard Ordnance config.) are a good addition to a collection and can make excellent range guns. They will normally be harder to get top value for. As an aside, if anyone wants to see what Sniders are not worth, go to Collectors Source website.
