Sniper cheek rest

I was looking for one a while back for a sporterized No4 in order to make the stock better for scoped use.

I did see some for sale online but they were $50.

I simply bought the 'high' add-on cheek piece from Choate, intended for their stock. It cost $17. The radius is different to the enfield stock so I filled that in with Bondo using a plastic wrapped enfield butt, sanded it and painted it black and it worked just fine.

Of course if you are doing it for an authentic and original sniper model then that won't do. You could measure the comb radius and anyone reasonably handy at wood work could make you a replica quite easily.

Bassanno bob on this forum makes (or made them) from resin. They were a great copy for the pseaudo T rifle. Hank from the Calgary gun show also whittles them out from time to time.

My last ones came from Numrich arms. They have a website under e-gunparts. Theirs are nice repros, although a bit more in the Auzzie style.

Now they charge an extra $25 per order, so make sure that you have a big order or else that $30 part is now $55.
