sniper match?

Its a match involving precision type rifles. It may or may not involve Police , Military and/or civilian shooters. The targets are small and the distances are usually longer. It's a lot of fun and very challenging.

"Sniper" matches are precision matches fired from 300 to 800y/m. Targets are military target that are stationary, snap (3sec exposure) or moving. For instance, the 300y agony snap is fired at the Fig14 "Hun's Head" target (1" V-Bull) The target is exposed randomly over a horizontal space of about 10ft for 3sec. The interval between exposures is anywhere from 10sec to 1 minute.

There are 5 matches (61-65). Match 61 is the 300y/m agony snap, 62 is the 400y/m mover using a Fig11 target, 63 is the 500y/m snap at a Fig11 and Fig12c target, match 64 is a deliberate fire match at 600y/m on a Fig11 and match 65 is a deliberate fire match at 800y/m on twin Fig11 targets mounted on a 4ft X 4ft target screen. What kind of rifles are best for this type of shoot (AR'R)

Well generally bolt guns do the best, but M14's and AR-10's and even some heavy barreled AR-15's do pretty well. But usually the bolt guns win it.
