I have been looking for quite a while for a short barreled 686. I bought this one sight unseen. It's pretty nice, but when it arrived I was surprised to see the engraving on the one side. Anyone ever seen anything like this before? Thanks for looking.

I've never seen that type of engraving before, but it's pretty classy. Gorgeous gun.
 
I know the previous owner of that revolver, and i've shot it before. You have a nice piece there my friend. Fire a couple rounds in memory of the great gun nut that used to own it. I cleaned it up a bit before they shipped it, if i'd know it was going to a fellow nut i've have spent more time on her. Enjoy!

And sadly, sometime too soon, when the last of us is gone, this beautiful piece of workmanship will also be melted down and destroyed (along with so many others). :(

All because some people just can't live in a world that they don't control! :mad: :mad:

I'm not done yet, Tom :), still got a few years and hopefully in that time our laws can be reversed.

I recently found one, except without the fancy engraving. It shoots very well. I would have preferred a 586 over a 686, but beggars can't be choosers!

I just picked up both a Model 624 which is a Lew Horton special and a model 19. When they come up, they go almost instantly so you have to be quick

Wow.....Soooooo fckn ###y. I wish I was born in Texas or Arizona. I'd own nothing but full auto, suppressed, hi caps, and gorgeous little snubbies like that 686.

The ultimate concealed carry sidearm is Hands Down the Glock 27 (G26 second lol) ....but that powerful .357 Magnum spitting out hyper velocity +P+ 158 gr. JHP slugs is devastating lol. That 686 even has a 7-shot capacity model, with 3" bbl.

Damn I'd love to fire full powered .357 Magnum slugs out of that little snub nose cannon ;)
