So close to finishing the build yet so far....

Finally had my Sako A7 re-barreled in Feb. from a 30-06 to a 6.5x47. LOVE IT!



Then I put in an order for a McMillan A5 stock when I picked up the rifle and it fianlly came!!

The build was going to be complete.




But when the stock was ready to drop, the action wasn't fitting the stock.

the smith had accidently ordered for a short action b/c of the 6.5x47 chambering instead of a long one.

oh well, crap like this happens, just have to wait a little longer...

what is left of a 130 gr. berger VLD (37.7gr. R15) vs Plate at 600yds:



Just starting to work a load up for 130gr. JLK with some n540 im currently up to 37.4 gr. and things are tightening up with some horizonal spread. should i continue to up the charge, or fiddle with the seating depth? right now im just off/just up to lands. do the JLKs like the jump or jam?

8 months wait, 6hr round trip on thanksgiving weekend...

needed powder and lead from him but still, yeah, doesnt help that he said everybody at the shop was eyeing it on how nice it looked and I keep looking at pictures of it on my phone, but yeah, right in the balls.

he started looking confused when it wouldn't fall into place, he measure the action screw holes on the stock and the action, sat down on a chair and lit a smoke, i was like F#.

he was very angry at himself. maybe mcmillan will save his butt and open it up and redrill the screw holes (doubt it), or bump up the order to the front and re-do it. wait and see...
