So Has anyone 3d printed a case feeder or bullet feeder for a Hornady LNL AP?

Not 3D printing related, but a heads-up for you: don’t waste your money on a Hornady bullet feeding die. Use a Mr Bulletfeeder die.

If so, which files, from where, and how do you rate it?

Hi,
I 3D printed the case feeder using jsondag files. That's the original inventor. Downloaded off thingiverse. Now there is a newer version out (4 I believe). I have version 2. It works well enough. It has enough quirks that I have ordered another version, that's got rollers where I wanted to install them on the one I have. I do not remember off the top.of my head who the person is, but his latest designe is not available for download.
Good luck.

Edit: the second one is by Bartje64 on thingiverse. He has V2 files available for download. I bought V4 from him.

I just ordered a V4 from Bart,he has a Facebook page V4 hornady case feeder. It should be here in a few weeks. Looking forward to throwing the factory Hornady case feeder into box and never looking at it again. :)

Suggest looking at the link below, I think this is the best open-source bullet/case feeder available out there. I have a couple of that printed and using it for both case and bullet feeding for my progressive press as well as Lee APP... They work like a charm.

To download the package, find one of "TylerR"'s messages and click the download link. "bf_v###.zip" is the latest package. There is a manual in the zip file as well...!

Let me know if you need help with it...

Seems the build plate of the printer I have access to is smaller than required for TylerR's design.
Maximum Build Volume: 10” x 6” x 6.7”
(255mm x 155mm x 170mm)

Versus
210mm x 210mm x 140mm

I have printed the case/bullet feeder from cast boolits.

There is now a larger one which will require a very large printer to print.

I haven't played with it much in the last 3 weeks since I've been concentrating my efforts on my automated bullet caster.

Here is the collator with 6.5 Creedmoor plate.

If you print one use the clutch option on the plates.

Looks great Thump it. Makes me think I should have spent my money on a 3D printer instead of Mr Bullet feeders! :)

I was looking for a bullet feeder that would do 6.5 Creedmoor and there was nothing out there that would do it off the shelf.
You can also collate bullets nose down to go into a Lube Sizer.
I’m still perfecting mine to do that.

To print the whole thing it cost less than $30 in material.
The motor was around $85 from Grainger and I spent another $60 or so for various springs, fasteners a proximity sensor and a speed controller.

Having an active forum with people who can help or modify the files helps a lot.

I completely forgot to mention, the two case feeder print files I ordered/printed are manually operated, using Lee case collator and tubes. Not a motorised case feeder.

Can confirm. I made a manual tube loaded bullet feeder system with Hornady dies. They're terrible. Now it's just parts sitting in a drawer, and I load bullets by hand.

I've had good results with Hornady bullet feeder dies as long as I used plated/jacketed bullets. The Mr Bulletfeeder dies are great and work perfectly even when using cast and powder coated bullets.

With 147gr FN Campro, I had the Hornady working flawlessly after some fiddling. 124RN had periodic issues with jamming up (the round nose caused a zig-zag inside the die and they'd get hung up). Then I had a batch of powder coated bullets.... The Mr Bullet feeder die just works as you'd expect. I made my own adapter from the Hornady motorized bullet feeder to the die and it works great.

Good info. I had decent luck with the Hornady dies and 124 grain bullets. But I used a Bully adapter and the Lee feeder tube system.
I did not use the Hornady motorized bullet feeder.
