So has the remington MSR/PSR contract been cancelled?

Apparently a new contract for a new sniper rifle is coming out

Some of the users replies imply problems with the MSR. I have no idea if they are credible comments, but this new notice for the "ASR", along with the eroding of the MSR contract, it seems like the writing may be on the wall.

If you read the comments on the first article, they claim it is suffering from reduced accuracy due to barrel manufacturer change. But that's just a rumour. Interesting stuff.
