So how exactly do I adjust an M14 front sight?

I'm going to the range tomorrow and will be needing to help a friend adjust the front sight on his M14. It shoots about a foot and a half to the left.

Center the rear sight. Loosen off the hex head set screw on the front sight and tap the sight to the left. Use a brass drift if you have one to save making marks on the metal.

Remember that the front sight gets moved in the opposite direction you want the group to go.
