So I am getting my self a Eotech 552. Now to look at a magnifier

So with the eotech 552 it seems like a solid sight

Should I look at getting a magnifier? Or should I leave it bare?

If I do get a magnifier. Does it need to be an eotech? Or would an aimpoint or different brand magnifier do well?

You can use any, whether a cheapo Chinese knock-off, Vortex VMX3T, Aimpoint or EoTech. I tried the knock-off and Vortex first, and ultimately sold them to but the EoTech G33. I found both were a little loose and not easy to deploy.

My suggestion: Pay once, cry once, or suffer gear creep.

I'd have to say I like keeping brands consistent. I'm sure to others would work fine As well. Keeping it the same will also make it easier to off load on the EE in the future if you decide to go another route IMO

I have an EOtech 553 /w a G33 mag, the sight is great, the optic is poo, but the mount is fantastic.
Short eye relief, okay glass.
Not worth the money IMHO.

If I were to do it over again, I would and will be going with ACOG's in the future. Better glass, lighter, compact, good eye relief.
