If you're concerned about saving money, you can always get a Norinco Sig clone.

I know I know, it's not a Sig, never will be, but I found they shoot well for the price.

I had one, liked it a lot. But mine cracked (2,000rds) and I traded it in for a NZ85 which I do like also.

Unless a good deal comes up in the next couple of weeks I will be ordering a SS 226 with rails/nightsights in 9mm. I figure I will have this gun for a long time so I won't try to save pennies. Plus my wife seems to like the "shiny gun" look, so I can encourage her to shoot it!

After the sticker shock has worn off, I will get the Nork 1911 Commander also.

If I was going to buy a Sig I'd get the all stainless with a rail. simply the best gun Sig has ever produced. the extra weight really sucks up recoil and from the ones I've seen, the finishing is nice too.

the finish and machining on a regular sig is damn nice too but the stainless just seems to be a little nicer.
the machining is equally tight but perhaps its the weight.

Makes a solid muted thunk, like when you slam a mercedes door shut. Sort of.
