Into a lake.
Just returned from a guiding gig in northern Alberta. I was on hands and knees helping a client into a boat when they fell out of my harness. Doh!
I’m much more comfortable on the water than in it but tried a couple times to get down to them. What would have been easy to do when I was a kid proved impossible. My brain still thinks I’m 25, my body thinks I’m stupid hahah. Just south of lake Athabaska and the water is COLD.
8 days later is the hunters turn around and Matt from Mc Murray aviation is back with the caravan and has his trunks, a few minutes later and the binos are on the dock!
I was thinking they’d have to go in for a refurb but the darn things still work perfectly, even the rangefinder!
Nice when a claim of waterproof actually holds up.

Well that is sur impressive!! Good for you to have them back and in working order! Now, make sure you tether them to your harness, I use a small length of 3/16” bungee cord…

I just bought Geovids so it sounds like I made a good choice.
