so i got this problem now, im thinking of getting a Barett big boy gun in either 50 BMG or 416 Barett. which do you think i should ask Wolverine to get me? the 416 is apparently a bit better long range shooter ,but c'mon the 50 is just awesome.

i wanted to really know though about reloading prices and availabilities though. which calibre has more brass and bullets flying around in canada at some specialty gun stores. thanx gun nuts. i dont know very much about the 416 ,but i can imagine ill need its own press, as mine will barely accomodate a 338 edge.

im leaning towards the 50 cause then thats it -boom ,nothing bigger. take it or leave it.LOL
 
contact alberta tactical since they are closer to you with most of the 50BMG reloading parts.
my own opinion is to get 50BMG and 416 later. lol
 
If you want a 416, first consider the Cheytac 408. That firearm is absolutely insane! If you want "The Mother of All Guns", you buy the 50BMG

In the precision game everything is shooter dependent. When you get into the big boys ballistics are conversational only - anything you hit with those is going to die. Quickly.

Which is stupid because most of us just punch paper and a .22 will do for that.

thanx for the replys, if i do get one think im going for the 50 - fun and gonna be a challenge to master. i did call alberta tactical and asked them the pros and cons about both- they said its hard to find comps for the 416 etc etc . and that it was created for the residents of california cause they could not own 50s anymore.

along time ago i asked them(ATRS) about the 408 and 50s said chey tec made the comparison to the 50 using match ,slick bullets in theres and ball ammo in the 50 to make it look good.

the 50 cal with a 32 " barrell would have quite the ballistics.

plus i could probably make money off it by telling my friends at work and getting them to pay....he he. LOL
