Hey guys! So I finally decided to take the CFSCR yesterday and I passed with flying colours. I took my CFSC back in 2007 and I passed, but I wasnt interested in restricted because of the whole ATT thing and for range use only. But all that changed when I went to Glock Day at Target Sports. I found shooting pistol to be really fun and the staff at Target Sports were exceptionally friendly and very professional. I even got to handle a few of the weapons they had. I am only 18, but I look a little younger than my age, and because of that I usually get the whole "your just some punk kid" kinda thing when I go to certain places. Not at Target Sports though. So needless to say I will be purchasing a membership to Target Sports.

So enough rambling from me, I wil get to the question. So now that I am gonna be playing the waiting game I just wanted to ask if it is possible to join a club (Target Sports) and get the probationary shoots and all that out of the way before I have my RPAL in my hands?

The course and the test are the easy parts, now you need approval from the CFC/CFO,this will take a little time.I would doubt that any club would except anyone without the proper licences first, but your best to ask Target Sports if that is your desired club. I would not do much or spend money until you have the RPAL in hand, do some research here and maybe try to find a shoot mentor in your area.

Congrats on passing and welcome to the club. I get the age glare sometimes too since I started when I was around 21-22. No worries though, most people recognize the future of firearms adoption country wide depends on young interest.

I was lucky enough to get my RPAL a few years ago, it seems now, you guys go through much more than I did, I think I only waited 4 weeks.

Cheers
