So it seems a kadet won't be in my safe any time soon and the wife's giving me grief about about where's her gun....so I'm hoping you nutz will be able to point me in the right direction. She like the feel of the Cz 75 and don't think the 97b isn't to big or heavy so who's got something to say I wanna hear....
I'm pretty bummed he kadet isn't readly available but I'll keep trying and find her something to keeping her happy. Thanks
Suggestions on a 22 cal

if you're looking for a .22 I would suggest a Ruger Mark III or Browning Buckmark. IME most "full-size" .22s (e.g.: Sig Mosquito, Walther P22, any of the .22 1911s) don't run as well as the venerable Ruger or Browning .22 offerings. YMMV...

I've been eyeing the Sphinx SDP Compact (built off the CZ 75 platform).

Costs a pretty penny and it only comes in 9mm, but I warn you. If you hold one, you may fall in love.

Since you're clearly willing to spend $800-$900 on a pistol, I would recommend a used S&W 41. Find one in good condition and you're golden as you can sell for what you paid should it not be to your liking. I picked a 5.5" one about a month ago and it is sublime. Nice heft, comfortable grips, good sights, great trigger. 500 rds through it so far, only 1 FTE and holds a 3" group offhand at 25m, which for me is great.

I was so happy I bought another with a 7 3/8" barrel....arrives next week.

A used 41 could be had. A better every day shooter would be any of the rugers (MK 3, 22/45 ) or any of the buckmarks for half that. You can feed them anything, whereas if you feed a 41 HV ammo your looking for broken ejector/hold open arm if not worse, and they will shoot better then 99 percent of handgun shooters if you find ammo they like.
