So I'm a 1911 guy..

The Sigs are best bang for the buck in the 1911 platform at this moment. Huge selection...Fit and finish compares to pistols 1 1/2 to 2X the price.

Oh yah...... I'm definitely a 1911 guy . I'm looking to buy #6.

Why delay on getting that cheap 1911 copy of the .45 there ok to shoot.
But if your a serious shooter and your looking for a gun that has the
history to back it up,then buying a Colt new is where its at. I bought the cheap
.45 and there ok to shoot, but having a new custom hand crafted Colt in my opinion
is the envy of all guns. I love the philosophy that Colt says about their guns if it doesn't
work out of the box its broken.Just send it in to get it fixed. The warranty to the original
purchaser is limited lifetime. In my opinion I have seen the quality of those other makers
of the 1911 and they are nice and cheap, but when you look at craftsmanship of a custom
Colt you ask yourself why you didn't buy one in the first place.

Warranty on a Sig is lifetime and not "limited" Better fit and finish for less money...... a lot less. With Colt , you're paying a lot for the name.

Note: taken from the instruction manual.
Limited Lifetime Service Agreement

Colt will repair any factory defective part(s) of your Colt Firearms, but cosmetic corrections and grip replacement will be made during the first year. This agreement will not apply to your Colt firearm when it is altered, abused, willfully damaged or damaged by overpressure ammunition. Moreover, this agreement will not apply to those parts of your Colt firearm that have been "tuned" or "gunsmithed" for performance, other than customized tuning and other services provided by Colt Custom Gun Shop. This agreement is not transferable, its benefits apply only to the original retail purchaser and only applies only to firearms manufactured after 1996.

So if you leave the firearm alone and just shoot it you might just say "Lifetime".:p
