And I need to know where to get some matte clear coat in a spray can. Cambodian tire doesn't not have it.

Notice that the preliminary coats do not match the cap. I suspect this is due to the fact that I've put only 3 light coats on so far. Will the paint eventually turn to it's proper colour or is it stuck like this? 5 coats for the base is what I had in mind or are more required?

Also notice my Canadian roots showing through with my hockey tape masking job. (I forgot to pickup masking tape at CT :p)

it will change color slightly when completely dry.

I've seen matte clear coats at the local Can tire here, as well as walmart. Check hardware stores!

This is a matte clear coat that works real well.It is available at Canadian Tire.

For Matte Clear coat go to Rona and look for "Excel Colorvision "Matte Clear Coat. When it dries it doesn't even look like there is a clearcoat.

It works great!!!

Again for what Skullboy said. The Rona clear coat works great, I've done 3 complete guns with them. It's also excellent for going over a factory finish camo for extra durability.
