So last night I picked up some range brass - but is it any good?

None of these (223) cases are split, but they all seem to have come from a similar type of semi auto judging by the case dings.
I've only just got into reloading and I'm sure they'll be fine, but I'm interested in where experienced reloaders draw the line at case deformation and just toss the brass.
I'm not looking for match grade results, I already have good brass for that. These would be used for plinking rounds.

Looks like these were fired out of a SA. That case deflector is serious business. That's what mine used to look like after.
As for reloading...I would. The resizer will do its thing.

Looks like they were fired in a Semi and hit the case deflector hard. You could load them, but why bother when better condition 223 brass is like gravel at most ranges.

I see your in the lower a mainland I should have a fairly steady supply of once fired .223 just finished a colt ar15 build and will be doing some testing and I always sweep up my message and take the brass home....maybe keep in touch.

I've reloaded dinged up brass like that for plinking ammo. Resizing will straighten out the neck and most of the dent on the side and it'll fireform it back out when you shoot it.
