So I have a few questions:

1. It's dated 1945, I thought they stopped making them before that?

2. It's got a 12 port muzzle break. I thought they went with the 4 port to simplify production before this time?

You have one of the rarest svts. They were only made for 3-6 days In 1945.

Congrat, i am lucky to have a 1945 too those SVT are refurd so that's why your have a 12 ports brake. Mine have the proper 4 ports but have a 1943 AVT stock on it. How's your bore? Mine is virtually new They stopped production January 3 1945, possibly less than 1000 manufactured that year.Welcome to the very select club of 1945 SVT 40 owners!

I didn't shot it yet, i also have a 1944 with mint bore that i didn't try either. After the 1945,1944 are quite rare too. Maybe i will not shoot them,already have 2 others SVT to play with.

I just went to look and someone did take it from the wrong rack 3 of my SVT snipers are gone too so a few other people should be getting suprises as well. That is a really nice gun you got.

You know what the definition of frustration is? Working 5 min away from north sylva & not being able to get in to look at their stash from whence all these rarities came. So many nice ones came in & its pure chance as to what you get.

I don't save all the rare ones, I just keep one or two of each year and maker for myself. Every batch is different, I never know what I will find.
